FAQ

  • What does an MSK scan include?
Your scan is performed by an experienced sonographer who examines the targeted muscles, tendons, or joints. You’ll receive a detailed ultrasound report and images after your appointment.
  • What counts as one “area” or “part”?
One area typically refers to a single joint or region — for example, the shoulder, knee, wrist, or ankle. If you need more than one area assessed, such as both shoulders or the shoulder and elbow, this counts as multiple areas.
  • Can I have both sides scanned in one appointment?
Yes. If time allows and the sonographer confirms it’s appropriate, you can have an additional area scanned during the same visit for an added £60.
  • Do I need a GP referral?
No. You can book directly with us for your convenience.
  • When will I get my results?
You’ll usually receive your results and report shortly after your scan — often on the same day.
